During the month of October, our managed self storage stores raised money for the Susan G. Komen foundation. Every time an item from a facility’s packing and moving supplies selection was purchased, a portion of the sale was donated to this great organization. This initiative raised $1,055. We matched that and a donation of $2,110 has been made to the Susan G. Komen foundation. Read the entire press release here.
Susan G. Komen foundation focuses on breast cancer education, research, advocacy, health services and social support programs in the U.S.
Why do we do these type of initiatives? Our stores are proud positively contributing community members. We make every effort to support charitable organizations and allow our tenants to participate in these projects with us.
These type of community projects also allow our stores to focus on different areas, such as merchandise sales, and to also feel good about it.
