Layton Wille

Q:  How long have you been working for SAM?

A:  I started with SAM 5/2/22. 

Q:  How did you come to be part of the team at SAM? What attracted you to this role and our company? 

A:  I transitioned from being employed by our owner to SAM. Our owner was clear is wanting me to stay and being “taken care of” and that is exactly what happened.

Q:  What do you enjoy most about working at SAM? Is there a specific aspect of your job or the company culture that you find particularly rewarding?

A:  I can count on support in every aspect of my job with SAM. 

Q:  Outside of work, what hobbies or interests do you enjoy pursuing in your free time?

A:  I cook outdoors year around. Love to smoke, roast, and grill all kinds of foods. Love playing with my puppies and enjoy walks with them and their mom.

Q:  Is there a memorable life lesson or piece of advice that has shaped your outlook or approach to life and work?

A:   I am third. God first, family second, and I am third.

Q:  Can you share a fun fact about yourself?

A:  I had lunch with the Vice President, Mondale, when I was stationed in the Netherlands. I was also on Dutch television as a representative of the USAF.

Q:  Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself?

A:   I couldn’t make it through the day with out the love and support of my wife Suz! She is my everything!

Q:  What is your go-to Sunday cleaning/organizing song? 

A:  Most likely I’m listening to traditional hymns, or maybe some 70s music.
