Q: Can you introduce yourself and provide some background on your role within SAM? What are your primary responsibilities and areas of expertise?
A: I have worked with SAM as a Corporate Administrative Assistant for two and a half years. My job involves handling various administrative tasks for the human resources team and the staff at the home office.
Q: What attracted you to this role and our company?
A: I spent twenty-plus years in retail and customer service, with seventeen of those at a local company that made and installed swimming pools and hot tubs. I decided to join SAM because I wanted something fresh and different. What drew me in was hearing how Alyssa and Jay started the business and how quickly it took off.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working at SAM? Is there a specific aspect of your job or the company culture that you find particularly rewarding?
A: What I love the most is connecting with people in all the different departments at corporate and our store locations.
Q: Has a memorable life lesson or advice shaped your outlook or approach to life and work?
A: My golden rule in my work and personal life is “treat others the way you want to be treated.”
Q: Outside of work, what hobbies or interests do you enjoy pursuing in your free time?
A: I am an enthusiastic reader who loves to explore different books.
Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself?
A: I have been with my husband, Eric, for 25 years. We live on my husband’s family farm, which we recently inherited. We currently have three dogs, two cats, eighteen chickens, and a duck that adopted us.
Q: What is your go-to Sunday cleaning/organizing song?
A: My playlist is all over the place. I’ve been listening to a bunch of Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll recently.
