Meet this month’s store team spotlight, Regina Harris from Blythe Landing Self Storage! Regina was nominated for the spotlight by her district manager, Joyce. Joyce said, “Regina goes above and beyond for the team and is always available to help. She is there to guide, train, or encourage them to reach their potential. She pushes them outside of their comfort zone so their comfort level expands. She is a big asset to the team.” Get to know Regina in the Q&A below!
Q: How long have you been working for SAM?
A: It will be five years in July.
Q: How did you come to be part of the team at SAM? What attracted you to this role and our company?
A: I became part of the team with SAM during 2020 while I was out on furlough from retail during the COVID-19 pandemic. I wanted a change in career path and applied with SAM. I was attracted to this position because I came from management and this position was still in management, but just on a different scale. I wanted to take a leap of faith and see if I would be great at this career path. What I enjoy most about the position is every day I have a chance to make an impact on customers and give them great customer service. The most rewarding part of this position is helping my team with tasks that I never knew I would be great at.
Q: Outside of work, what hobbies or interests do you enjoy pursuing in your free time?
A: I enjoy being with my family, shopping, going to my nephew’s baseball games, reading, going to amusement parks, and being outside in great weather.
Q: Is there a memorable life lesson or piece of advice that has shaped your outlook or approach to life and work?
A: Patience is the key to success in life and work. Being patient is something I learned in life and also working in this position.
Q: Can you share a fun fact about yourself?
A: I love animals!

A: I have a passion to move forward with this great company.
