Ara Ludwig

Q:  Can you introduce yourself and provide some background on your role within SAM? What are your primary responsibilities and areas of expertise?

A:  I am a Financial Analyst on the corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team. I am primarily involved with corporate finance and the Customer Care Center providing data, reporting, and predictive modeling.

Q:  What attracted you to this role and our company?

A:  I joined SAM two years ago after college. I was a math major looking for an analyst role and SAM was a perfect fit from the day-to-day responsibilities to the culture.

Q:  What do you enjoy most about working at SAM? Is there a specific aspect of your job or the company culture that you find particularly rewarding?

A:  My favorite part of working at SAM are the people. SAM has a great culture of curiosity; if I have a question, I know I can ask without judgment.

Q:  Has a memorable life lesson or advice shaped your outlook or approach to life and work?

A:  Try difficult things. There were many times in life I would worry about the what-ifs to avoid doing something like a new class, hobby, or role but I found the best way to do life is through. Being momentarily uncomfortable has led me to some of my favorite moments in life.

Q:  Outside of work, what hobbies or interests do you enjoy pursuing in your free time?

A:  I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing ultimate frisbee, and trying new restaurants. (I’d love restaurant recommendations for PA!)

Q:  Can you share a fun fact about yourself?

A:  I am the oldest of 27 grandchildren (and counting) on my mom’s side!
