Meet this month’s store team spotlight, Lauren Hall from Storage Sense – Nicholasville! Lauren was nominated for the spotlight by her colleague, Vicki. Vicki said, “She is always willing to help if needed. She is very knowledgeable of SAM policies and procedures. If she doesn’t know the answer, she will find it. She works hard and is dedicated to doing a great job as a store manager. ” Get to know Lauren in the Q&A below!

Q:  How long have you been working for SAM?

A:  I have been with SAM for four years.

Q:  How did you come to be part of the team at SAM? What attracted you to this role and our company? 

A:  I was referred by a friend who knew the property manager at my store at the time. I began as an assistant manager. I was promoted two years ago and have been the property manager two of my four years.

Q:  What do you enjoy most about working at SAM? Is there a specific aspect of your job or the company culture that you find particularly rewarding?

A:  I really enjoy working at SAM. I love how communicative the company is. Our district works together as a team. Teamwork is the most rewarding.

Q:  Outside of work, what hobbies or interests do you enjoy pursuing in your free time?

A:  Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, taking trips, going to zoos, and making the most of every day!

Q:  Is there a memorable life lesson or piece of advice that has shaped your outlook or approach to life and work?

A:  I have learned early in life after both of my parents passing away that life is short. Begin each day being positive and making the most of the days. Be silly and just have fun!

Q:  Can you share a fun fact about yourself?

A:  I played softball and did gymnastics when I was younger.
