Meet this month’s store team spotlight, Tressa Stewart from All Storage – Plano Parkway! Tressa was nominated for the spotlight by her district manager, Kelsey. Kelsey said, “Tressa has always been willing to help with coverage at other locations. She is hungry to grow with SAM and it shows in her willingness to take initiative and do what needs to be done daily. She is fantastic with her customers and they love her for it. This kind of attitude and behavior just oozes our SAM values.” Get to know Tressa in the Q&A below!
Q: How long have you been working for SAM?
A: I’ve been working with SAM for two years.
Q: How did you come to be part of the team at SAM? What attracted you to this role and our company?
A: I first heard about SAM through an Indeed ad, and I was drawn to the company’s strong focus on people, service, and community. The opportunity to lead a team in a values-driven environment really appealed to me.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working at SAM? Is there a specific aspect of your job or the company culture that you find particularly rewarding?
A: What I enjoy most is the team spirit. The culture here encourages collaboration and innovation and I love seeing our associates grow and succeed. Helping customers and creating a great store experience is deeply rewarding.
Q: Outside of work, what hobbies or interests do you enjoy pursuing in your free time?
A: Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my granddaughter. I’ve recently taken up riding my bike again. For me, it’s a great way to recharge and stay balanced.
Q: Is there a memorable life lesson or piece of advice that has shaped your outlook or approach to life and work?
A: One piece of advice that’s always stuck with me is: “Lead by example.” It reminds me that how I show up each day impacts those around me—whether it’s my team, customers, or even my family.
Q: Can you share a fun fact about yourself?
A: A fun fact about me is that I am a super bearded dragon lover. I have three – Gabby, MeSha, and Maxine. They’re super pets.
Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself?
A: I love being a Mermaw (Grandma for some) and I try to bring a little happiness to everyone. I enjoy my job and feel blessed to be a part of this awesome company.
