Angella Hopkins - Team Member Spotlight

District Trainer

Angella Hopkins

Meet this month’s store team spotlight, Angella Hopkins from Storage Sense – Colorado Springs – PAFB! Angella was nominated for the spotlight by her peer, Melissa. Melissa said, “Angella goes above and beyond for her teammates and other colleagues. She is always willing to go the extra mile to do research or look into something.” Get to know Angella in the Q&A below!

Q:  How long have you been working for SAM?

A:  Three years

Q:  How did you come to be part of the team at SAM? What attracted you to this role and our company?

A:  I rented a storage unit and I heard they were looking for part-time help, so I applied. At the time I was just looking for something to do.

Q:  What do you enjoy most about working at SAM? Is there a specific aspect of your job or the company culture that you find particularly rewarding?

A:  I like the people that I have been able to get to know. Everyone is really helpful whenever I need it. I don’t feel like there is a big separation from corporate and the field team. I see how much corporate cares and visits the facilities

Q:  Outside of work, what hobbies or interests do you enjoy pursuing in your free time?

A:  I like to stay home. I do want to start hiking more.

Q:  Is there a memorable life lesson or piece of advice that has shaped your outlook or approach to life and work?

A:  Yes, I have learned the value of communication and how to talk to people. I was really abrasive when I first started and because of people taking the time to guide me and teach me, I am a much better person.

Q:  Can you share a fun fact about yourself?

A:  PA is the farthest east I have ever been.

Q:  Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself?

A:  I have four kids – my two oldest are graduated, I have a senior in high school, and a 2nd grader. I have one dog (an Irish doodle) and two cats.
