Meet this month’s store team spotlight, Courtney Dobbs, district trainer and store manager of Storage Sense – Selinsgrove. Courtney’s district manager nominated her for the spotlight saying, “Courtney consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership abilities and fosters an environment that motivates and empowers her team to achieve their highest potential each day.” Get to know Courtney in the Q&A below!
Q: How long have you been working for SAM?
A: I’ve been with SAM for two years this coming August 5th and have loved every second of it.
Q: How did you come to be part of the team at SAM? What attracted you to this role and our company?
A: I’ve done property management prior in the hotel industry, and honestly excelled quickly and loved that as well. Unfortunately, Louisiana isn’t home so I came back to PA. Coming across SAM in the Indeed ads was almost exactly what I was looking for to get my career back on the ground.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working at SAM? Is there a specific aspect of your job or the company culture that you find particularly rewarding?
A: Since joining SAM I’ve come to learn how dependable and wonderful our team of people are. Honestly, the one thing I love most about this company is our TEAM. A group of well rounded individuals just working hard to make things happen on a daily basis. SAM provides ongoing training, assistance with a call/text, and team members are well paid and well appreciated.
Q: Outside of work, what hobbies or interests do you enjoy pursuing in your free time?
A: My family loves to do anything outside including fishing, hiking, and swimming.
Q: Is there a memorable life lesson or piece of advice that has shaped your outlook or approach to life and work?
A: Never stop caring, stand my ground, and always keep moving. One foot in front of the other.
Q: Can you share a fun fact about yourself?
A: I have a sixteen year old, a four year old, and a three year old that ultimately keep me on my toes the most.
