Q:  How long have you been working for SAM?

A:  I was hired in August of 2020 and have had the privilege of working in two districts!  Originally, I was hired on in Va. Beach, VA with Ocean Storage and then transferred to Valley Storage in Hagerstown, MD.  Currently, I am back in Va. Beach with Ocean Storage!

Q:  What do you like most about your job and working for SAM?

A:  I took this job as a part-time transitional position after leaving my corporate job to care for my mom.  Ultimately, we lost her after a year and a half.  Unemployed and not sure what I wanted at that point in my career, I accepted an ASM position at SAM and fell in love with it.  I was quickly promoted to a Store Manager and received my own property.  This company has been an opportunity for me to experience something different in employment and I am so grateful.  I enjoy creating relationships with my tenants and providing compassion, a warm smile, and a kind gesture to everyone that comes through my door.  I can’t say enough about my team of co-workers, managers and owners who support me and allow me to be the best Store Manager I can be.

Q:  What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

A:  I love gardening and creating an outdoor oasis to relax in at home.  I also am very passionate about cooking.  You can always find me experimenting in the kitchen.  It is my happy place!

Q:  Can you share a fun fact about yourself?

A:  I am a descendant of Blackbeard the Pirate – ARGH!

Q:  Is there anything else you’d like to share (family, pets, etc.)?

A:  I am happily married to the love of my life.  I have two children – the most amazing daughter, Bailey, who is 24 and my 4-legged son, Bentley, who is 9.  The three of them mean more to me than anything and I am so thankful to have them in my life!
