Q:  What are some new initiatives coming from the SAM Finance and Accounting department?

A:  We are working on implementing a new accounting system, NetSuite, that will house all of our corporate and client financial information in one place. This will help us consistently apply financial information which will make comparing data more meaningful. We are also working on a reporting system, Oracle EPM Planning, that will house all our dashboards, financial reports, and analyses. The goal of Finance is to provide meaningful financial information to decision makers, and these two tools will help achieve that goal.

Q:  Tell us how long you’ve been with SAM.

A:  11 months

Q:  What brought you to SAM?

A:  SAM focuses on serving others; clients, tenants, and employees, and that resonated with my own core values.

Q:  What is something you are excited about for the future of SAM?

A:  Since I have started with SAM we have begun quite a few changes in different parts of the company. I am excited to see these changes fully implemented, and the resulting benefit to all the people we serve.

Q:  Do you have any hobbies or interests that you can share with your fellow SAM teammates?

A:  I have a lot of interests, but outside of work I spend most of my time working out, spending time with family, and shooting guns.
