Q:  Can you introduce yourself and provide some background on your role within the company? What are your primary responsibilities and areas of expertise?

A:  I started September 22, 2022 as the newly created Vendor Relationship Manager. My role allows me to interact and collaborate with all departments, facilities, owners, and vendors through vetting potential suppliers/vendors, understanding and setting up vendor processes utilized company-wide, managing property and auto insurance matters, utility procurement, the SAM travel platform, and various other responsibilities.

One of largest aspects I believe I bring to SAM is through my previous years of retail management I am very accustomed to researching, collecting, and analyzing data to make decisions that best meet the needs of those I work for or with, along with always trying to demonstrate a positive attitude.

Q:  How did you come to be part of the team at SAM? What attracted you to this role and our company?

A:  My daughter and a colleague from a prior employer both worked for SAM and shared how much they loved working for SAM, the work culture, the people, and feeling appreciated every day for what they do.

Q:  What do you enjoy most about working at SAM? Is there a specific aspect of your job or the company culture that you find particularly rewarding?

A:  I’m entrusted to know my job and do my work without being micromanaged. The most rewarding aspect is my direct supervisor – openness to questions, good with explaining things, etc.

Q:  Is there a memorable life lesson or piece of advice that has shaped your outlook or approach to life and work?

A:  Just that God has a plan for me and he will never give me more than I can handle!

Q:  Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests that you enjoy pursuing in your free time?

A:  I love beach time – the Key West & Carolinas are my favorite destinations, yard sales, estate sales, selling on Marketplace/eBay, etc.

Q:  Can you share a fun fact about yourself?

A:  Most can’t believe I still love going to rock festivals and concerts!

Q:  Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself?

A:  My husband, Tim, and I have been together this December for 37 years (married 27) with one daughter, Heather, that just got married. I also currently have four cats adopted from local shelters. I love anything to do with cats! I am super tight with my husband and daughter, we do everything together and most time you will find us together!

Q:  What is your go to Sunday cleaning/organizing song? 

A:   AC/DC – Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap!
