Q:  How long have you been working for SAM?

A:  I have been working here for four wonderful years, back when we only had 172 stores, and only two in Texas.

Q:  What do you like most about your job and working for SAM?

A:  There so many things I love about SAM. One thing is I get to have a life outside of work, so I am able to spend time with my family. I always feel supported and cared for here. When I was first hired I had no experience in this industry, but I guess they saw something in me and I will always be grateful for that. Everyone I have met has made me feel comfortable and supportive, even in the times I wasn’t doing so well. I went through some hard times in 2020 losing my mother to COVID. My district manager never gave up on me or made me feel discouraged and always gave me encouraging words. I love how the company has grown and getting to be a part of that. Even in the growth of the company, they have never lost sight of caring for their employees and families. Even when we don’t work together or see each other on a regular basis, we still pull together to be there for one another. I love the people here, including my customers at my store. Since I’ve been in the same location for four years I have gotten to know people and build more than just a rapport with them. 

Q:  What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

My four kids, boyfriend, and I love going on family bike rides and little walks by the lake with our dog, Zoey. We also have two cats – one is ours, and the other is my brother’s cat that we are fostering until he is done in the Air Force. Some of my interests include cooking, painting, and anything Stars Wars/Marvel/DC. I am also a crime junkie and like to listen to true crime podcasts and documentaries.
